Derrick Rose will be wearing the No. 1 jersey starting this fall.  Can’t wait to see this kid in action.  I’m currently on the phone with the Bulls trying to move my seats to a better section to watch Derrick.  Next up is signing Ben Gordon and Luol Deng.  Apparently Paxson and Reinsdorf met with Deng last night and are meeting with Gordon tonight.  The past is the past, so there is no sense in talking about why these guys didn’t sign, but rather, both sides should throw last year’s numbers out the window and look at a deal that makes sense.  If you keep having last years 50+ million numbers in the back of your head, as a player, no deal will look good.  These two guys have to go in with clear minds.  We’ll see what happens, but honestly I’d love to see this team come together for another season without another trade.  I really think Derrick will make these guys better.  Imagine Ben Gordon not having to work for his shot so much.  Luol works so hard off the ball, that he will be bound to get better opportunities.  Lets keep the team together for a year.

Ok, so I don’t know for sure.  But it seems pretty obvious.  Rose has the power to bring out the best in the rest of the currently underachieving Bulls.  Think D Rose to Tyrus as you would CP3 to Tyson Chandler.  Think about the drive and kick out to Ben Gordon, who will finally not have to create his own shots, but just knock down open J’s.  Think about the hand off to Noah or Gray, or the ability to find Deng for a greater percentage of his cuts to the basket.  He will instantaneously inject offense in our defensively minded group.  Let’s just hope doesn’t hog the ball as much as the last Bulls player to wear a "Rose" jersey.  Sorry if you read this, Jalen.
