Much Needed Road Trip Ahead

We’ll see if the upcoming road trip takes some pressure off these young Bulls. With no home crowd "Kobe" Chants to worry about, the Bulls may just be able to play a little more freely, and return to the United Center with at least a .500 record, and bring the UC back to a feared place. Field Goal % continues to haunt the Bulls. Especially 3-pt% where the Bulls were second in the league last year.
K.C. Johnson’s anatomy of a mess breaks down the Bulls’ problems and offers 1 reason for hope.
I think a player by committee or performance would backfire, but Sam Smith offers his take here. I do like some of his points (getting Nocioni in more) but I believe a system where players are constantly worried about their roles may fail. This type of system isn’t going to give us the Thomas Jones effect.
From the Daily Herald: Shooters keep slumping: Through Saturday’s games, the Bulls rank 29th in the league in points per game (86.5), field-goal percentage (.381) and 3-point percentage (.264).
All four guards in the rotation are shooting well below 40 percent — Chris Duhon (.371), Ben Gordon (.354), Kirk Hinrich (.318) and Thabo Sefolosha (.214).
"Defense wins games, but you’ve got to put the ball in the basket to have a chance out there," Gordon said. "I don’t feel I’m pressing on every shot. It’s contagious almost."
I’m starting to feel sick too.

Whats with the slow posts, Mike? JK! Yeah the road trip may help but ultimately they have to make shots. That’s all. Just make your frickin shots.

Sorry man. Will try to keep up to speed. Also looking for guest writers. Let me know if anyone is interested.
Field goal % is killing us. We need to get more points in the paint, and higher percentage shots. Simple.

Saturdays game was the first game ive ever stopped watching in my life. This sucks man, I hope they can turn it around. I definitely think Sam Smith made some good suggestions, I think some roster changes are definitely coming soon. Lets see what happens.

Ben Wallace has been terrible. Give the ball to Aaron Gray and see if he can manufacture some points in the paint. And give TT more minutes. He proved against detroit that he moves well not only away from the ball but he can also create off the dribble. Bull need easy baskets.
g-reg @ 10:16 am:
All I can say about TT, is TRUE, TRUE.

The worst part about this start? We are playing Phoenix next, and then a bunch of above average teams as well. This sounds like it will be a disaster of a first half of the season. Because of such a poor start, I see PaxMan going through with a trade offer. There is no denying the fact that the Bulls are not amongst the Elite in the East. Just have a look at the still undefeated Celtics. The Green Monsters, and the greedy Boston Sports Fans may take all Big 3 Sports this year. Bulls goal should be merely to eliminate the Celtics from the Playoffs.

Now don’t hate on Boston sports–look at what they did. Made some big moves in a weak Eastern Conference and they’re relevant (if not leading contenders) in the league again. Pull the trigger and get Kobe.

Trade Wallace and Gordon for Gasol OR J O’Neal (pretty realistic for all involved - may need some fillers on the deal)
Potential Starting Lineup
Gasol or J O’Neal
Nocioni
Deng
Sefalosha
Hinrich
Key Reserves
Noah
Smith
Duhon
Thomas
Result: Eastern Conference Finals with Boston with a real shot of beating them. BEst The bulls could do at the moment!
Forget Kobe - LA can’t win with Kobe either. You need 3 Great players (including at least 1 scoring bigman) to make it in this league!
