Bulls lose to Dallas in another meaningless preseason game

Only one more preseason game to go.  Finally we are getting closer to Halloween when we open against the Nets in Jersey.  After watching this last game, it really hit me that these games don't matter one bit.  It was interesting to see a few pre-season games, to learn what certain bench players are capable of, but by this point, I just can't wait till the season starts and we can analyze meaningful plays/games, etc.  Who knows what opponents are giving 100% in the preseason.  We are playing with and against players who probably won't see half the time per game in the regular season that they are getting now.

Which brings me to my next point.  Why are season ticket holders forced to buy pre-season tickets at face value?  Anyone can purchase these tickets from craigslist or ebay or even from Brokers for 1/3rd of face value!  Oh well.  I guess it makes sense from a business standpoint, but still.

In other important news, K.C. Johnson reports Ben Gordon will be at a Deerfield Dunkin' Donuts serving Donuts after his comment about Krispy Kreme Donuts being better than Dunkin' Donuts.  While Johnson jokes about the "huge" nature of this, I love it and is exactly the stuff I love reading about from his columns and blog.

Kevin Durant is reportedly on crutches.  Hope he recovers quickly and is able to play the majority of the season.  Would not like to see the two top dogs from this year's draft be out.

David Thorpe reports that the rookie of the year award is still up for grabs with the top rookie out for the season and Durant's new injury problem.  Apparently Noah is up for the running.

Miami and Minnesota are involved with a trade, as Minnesota continues to slice and reinvent their team.
